It may one day, but probably not so I said no. Reviewers like to give wii games lower scores just because it's on the wii. I know that people will say that that's not true, but I 've seen nothing the last year or so to show otherwise. I've lost all confidence in gaming reviewers this gen.

Ya because review sites are so reliable these days... Look at all of those Gamecube games and tell me that every one of them is AAA. They aren't.

True, but for some people, boom blox is a AAA game. Now how do we decide what is what.

all kidding aside;

Although I agree metacritic doesn't cover the entire spectrum of audience, it does cover, to some degree, the traditional video gamers of the world.

If people want to create their own qualifications for what constitutes a good "casual" game, then someone should do that.

I know it's "controvercial", and a lot of people will disagree, but to me, it's like sports games. Not every sports game makes it into the high 80s or 90s, but the ones that do, deserve it for some specific reasons that a lot of the gaming audience might not understand. If the traditional audience doesn't understand what makes one "casual" game better than another "casual" game, then we will need some new perspective.

But for the traditional perspective, (traditional meaning NES-> now), this is a pretty suitable measure, imo.

you are sooo right, it disgust me how ppl are sheep for Meta/gameranking... why has this gen in particular given soo much power to review/ranking sites like this?

I consider NSMBW an AAA title yet it just lacks below 90 because of some sour whiny reviewers.

To me it has. So I put yes. Most of the big games I play on it have improved from the GameCube.

Brawl > Melee
Galaxy >>>>> Sunshine (hated sunshine)
TP = WW (can't decide >_>)

Although, the 3rd party is not comparable to the GameCube, and that wasn't so good either....

Anyhoo, it won't probably do it if it's measured by metacritic. But I only care for what I think of the games

oh yes, to me the wii already has many better games than the gamecube. But like you said if AAA is to be measured by metacritic it won't pass GC. My tastes just don't agree with reviewers.
