True, but for some people, boom blox is a AAA game. Now how do we decide what is what.
all kidding aside;
Although I agree metacritic doesn't cover the entire spectrum of audience, it does cover, to some degree, the traditional video gamers of the world.
If people want to create their own qualifications for what constitutes a good "casual" game, then someone should do that.
I know it's "controvercial", and a lot of people will disagree, but to me, it's like sports games. Not every sports game makes it into the high 80s or 90s, but the ones that do, deserve it for some specific reasons that a lot of the gaming audience might not understand. If the traditional audience doesn't understand what makes one "casual" game better than another "casual" game, then we will need some new perspective.
But for the traditional perspective, (traditional meaning NES-> now), this is a pretty suitable measure, imo.
