Go FFX! My #1 game of all time (any genre, etc)!

I wonder where XIII will place? My bet is near XII.

It will be last IMO the story sucked more than XII fail storyline. You will know it when you see it.

Only thing the game is excellent is the graphics. I am very dissapointed in FFXIII.

Looking forward to FF Versus XIII now.

bt ppl eevrywhere else say say story and characters r amazing so is gameplay but everything else is very bad like maps, bosses, music. y is everyone saying different things are good and bad? im confused, shud i buy it or not as ppl say different things are good, then sum ppl say those things are bad!!

Very good list.

FFVI is better FF ever and forever (?).

Nice, this is like when I was reading my latest GameInformer with the Top 200 games of all time. FFVII was #15 or so while FFVI was #8 best game all time. :)

FFVI has and will always be better than FFVII. FFVII tries too hard to be like FFVI. :D

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

4. Final Fantasy X

Meghan Sullivan: Like Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy X was a major milestone for the franchise. Not only was it a huge leap forward in terms of graphics (dropping pre-rendered backgrounds for 3D areas) and gameplay (introducing the Conditional Turn-Based Battle system and allowing players to swap characters in and out of their party during battle), but it was the first Final Fantasy to feature voice acting. These features, together with a compelling storyline and a stellar soundtrack, have solidified Final Fantasy X as one of the most popular games in the franchise. To date it has sold more than six million copies and is the only Final Fantasy game thus far to have its own sequel.

Or rather, it was the first to have a sequel until a game that came out ten years before it (FFIV) got a sequel five years later (FFIV: The After Years).

(Also, I might argue that the original Final Fantasy has had ~12 sequels.)

Apparently IGN has a lot of issues with fact checking lately, as in there is none, FFV is apparently also the first FF game with the active time battle system.

Well its says "The game also featured the first Active Time Battle gauge". Which is true, FF IV didn't have that gauge/bar, so V was the first one to have it.

I completely disagree. I'd rank them like this from best to worst.
VII
X
XII
VIII
VI
IX
III
IV
V
XI
I
II

All have been good so I'm ok

It used to be:
FF 6
FF 7
FF 5

However, FF5 was remade and it is now better than FF7 so:
FF 6
FF 5 Remake
FF 7
FF 5

FF5 was remade o_O

Thank you.  I meant FF 4 Remake, not FF 5.

I haven't played VI maybe I should.....

Wait for a remake, it is bound to happen.

If you haven't played FF 4, get the DS remake.

Maybe I should crack open my copy of FF VI (GBA) and see what the fuss is about. FF IV is my all time favorite being that I've only played one 3D FF (FFVII).
