Buzz hype means nothing, Wii had SALES yet the 3rd partys pretty much turned their back on it.  Yet in a recession they will spend tens of millions developing new games for a new hardware ADD ON with NO user base and experimental controls.

360 savior sure is going up agiast some hard conditions, i see no publisher dumb enough to take the risk on NAtal unless MS cuts them a 20million dollar cheque to do so.   

Put away you bsbias bud and tell me where would any sane logical person risk millions of dollars on.  Wii with 63 million user base, a multi plat game on PS3/360 65 million user base or on a Natal 360.... 0 user base.  Anwser is easy to see.

 

 

 

 

 

360 doesn't need a savior, it's been successful enough and significantly improved the Xbox business already.  It's already a "win" for Microsoft.

In terms of Natal support, it pretty much sounds like everyone's going to do something, but I'm not expecting much.  Big budget core games will stay HD multi, low budget casual and niche games will stay on Wii, Gem & Natal will gets the scraps that fall between.

Not according to many 360 owners on here, natal will sky rocket 360 past PS3. 

Getting out sold by the PS3 would be looked as a big failure on MS part, released first always had a price advantage.

360 improved on Xbox by about every metric, and actually looks like it may finish out it's cycle not in the red.  Honestly, I don't see how 360 can be plausibly spun anything but a victory for MS.  They're just coasting at this point.

Cause they ran their mouth how PS3 will never out sale the 360, like Turn Ten they should learn to stfu sometimes.  So if PS3 out sales them does what MS said it would never do.  Then its a failure.  In the Hd battle they came out first, were cheeper have the easier to program for console.  According to them the console power is even they have the best online ever.

Logically they should win.  If they don't its a failure.

Original xbox did not set the bar very high, surpassing it means very little.

lol.  Maybe we should dredge up some old Kutaragi, Harrison and Trenton quotes to decide if PS3 can be considered anything other than an abject failure?

Back in 2005/2006, 360 was assured pretty much anything but "victory".   They had the less powerful HD console, they lacked 3rd party killer apps like FF/MGS/DMC/Tekken/etc, their 1st party program was shrinking, they stuck with a last gen format (DVD), RROD was getting tons of coverage and they weren't coming off the most successful console in history (PS2) with the most popular brand in gaming to that point (PlayStation).  360 "logically" was supposed to win?  Are you high?

They are cheeper NOW, and have a lead NOW due to coming out early.  Thats why.

No not after the Slim, but that does not matter.  Post Slim 360 can get wrecked and its some how ok ? why is that.

No not after the Slim, but that does not matter.  Post Slim 360 can get wrecked and its some how ok ? why is that. 

Wait, it doesn't matter when?  But I thought we were talking "NOW"?  Still waiting on that link btw.

And I'd say 360's holding pretty well considering.  It certainly didn't get "wrecked" in the last NPD, and Microsoft's software sales are still the HD gold standard.

Judging by how the media reacted to it, meaning more people that overshadow our opinions on the matter entirely, yes it will. People are already hyping it up to dangerous levels, whether it will actually be as good as they make it out to be I doubt. For now.
