No, and you already knew that, so you are just trying to start shit.

BTW, adjustments are a bitch, remember it was a very close 1 million, any little adjustment will bring it down.

My advice is to enjoy the PS3 sales.

Why does everyone asume the numbers will be adjusted down?

Upwards adjustments aint impossible!

All I am saying is every year major adjustment are done after the holiday season, upward or downward, it's expected.

999k and 1 million makes no difference to me.

True, im not necessaily targetting it at you... But everyone seems to think they will be adjusted down. It's damn annoying!

They are just arrogant Carl, don't listen to them.

You are so up yourself, quit being twofaced already.

Why do you ask a question to which you already know the answer to?

Just enjoy PS3's high sales, no need to target any other system to propel your own.

If a big game, like Halo 3, was released during the pre-Christmas week, it would. The PS3 would never get there without the FFXIII release during the biggest week.

It would still probably need Japan for that, which the PS3 has no problem reaching at this point.

Also, the PS3 has yet to see it's biggest release and yet to drop to $199. IMO, it has a shot a doing 1 million again.

Totally agree.  Though I think the next price cut might come late 2010, and be only $50.  By then, if lowered to $250 a pop, the PS3 would either be breaking even or making a slight profit for Sony.  Maybe it could have a few million weeks, some with a $250 price tag and even more with a $200 price tag.  You think it would ever be able to drop to below $200, even at this gen's end?

Not is it's current form, Sony will redesing the PS3 once more in order to achive a price drop. Sony might even do what Microsoft did and intruduce a PS3 with a very small HDD for a cheaper price, they have plenty of options to reduce by $50-$25 but $100 drop will most likley come with a redesing a year or 2 from now.

The UK will keep 360 at least competitive in Europe.  Japan's a lost cause though.  Microsoft needs to buy someone else to launch Xbox 3 there.  Or maybe partner with someone else with at least some electronics / computer / console pedigree (NEC? Toshiba? Sega?).

Wanna bet that after GT5 Uk will be as anti 360 as most of Europe.  And no uk alone wont keep the 360 competative in Europe.

It seems really unfair that the japanese mostly only buy japanese products.

Reliabilty doesn't seem to be the issue since the xbox 360 is way more unreliable than xbox 1 yet it has sold double the original xbox.

Also, the original xbox was way more reliable than the ps2 but the ps2 dominated the sales.

I would put huge tariffs on all japanese products if I was in charge of the US government to offset this discrepancy.

Ah GT5, hope springs eternal.

And the rest of Europe isn't exactly "anti-360".  It's doing significantly better in basically every region than Xbox 1 did. UK's buying trends more closely mirror US/Canada than mainland Europe, I don't expect much change for that in the future (though GT5 should give a nice bump for PS3 in all markets).
