Hiphopgamer is a friend of mine, and we met up last year in New York, where i used to live in Brooklyn. Gerrad (HHG) doesn't bullshit. If he says it, more than likely, it's there, and down the pipeline. Everything is from official sources, and so i believe him. Now it's just time to wait and see.

You guys think that since he's just a "blog site" he's not credible, but yet, he's a staple in the industry, with tons of support from big names in the industry. Don't brush him off because he's "unprofessional", or a black man (yea, yea i know).

not all EPIC games sell well.And also not all EPIC games are good quality-wise.

And I don't think anybody could match Santa Monica's quality for slash n dash games.

and if we go by forza competitiveness against GT,we would know there would be no match either in quality or sales.

i actually thought both forza 1 and 2 and 3 were better then any gran torismo game. only slightly though.
and to everyone else i never siad i thought this new game would be be better or rival GOW3. i just said HHG said they have a hidden ip thats supposed to rival GOW3. i actualy belive HHg here that they have a hidden game. be cause he wasnt like " i hink they got this IP that will rival GOW" he was like "they DO have this new ip nowbody knows about."

I understand you standing up for your friend and even respect it, but what do you say about the spotty record that he has had with a number of similar statements that he has made as pointed on DirtyP2002's post?

Oh, and I know full and well the world we live and even the online nature of a portion of our gaming contemporaries, but I personally don't see this as time to play the card.  Some of the statements here are inflammatory, but there has been a precedent set as to the reliability of the 'scoops' from the hiphopgamer's site/show.

I think he isn't credible because of how often he is dead wrong. He claimed a million pre-orders of KZ2 in Europe alone, a KZ2 Super Bowl commercial, Bioshock as a timed PS3 exclusive, an Insomniac 360 game, a Halo remake, and a number of other dead wrong predictions. He makes shit up to get hits. I don't know why you feel the need to defend him. Honest to god my only explanation is that you are him. I can't think of any other reason people would still bother listening to him.

As waked as some of his "predictions" are it's all based on things that he has heard in the industry... yes he is now an "insider" and unless you got invited to EA's game events or Ubisoft's game events then he knows more than you.  And he says what he thinks with no appologies for being wrong... I personally really like him... he doesn't get all pissed when idiots come and post racist shit on his site he just rolls with it.  HHG has also droped VGCharz's site several times when talking about the sales of games.
