It gets tiresome sometimes. The truth is, the game is just not polish enough. If you want to buy it, buy it, IGN isn't telling you to not buy a game.

To be honest, I haven't trusted any IGN reviews in many years.  It seems to me that they are completely out of touch with my tastes and the tastes of many others.

So now, having played 2 hours of the game i have to say that while some of the points that IGN makes are valid, such as the bad camera control, the game is still really enjoyable and i love the atmosphere and sense of epicness it has. I'll definitely buy it, and it's one of the few games i know i'll finish.

I have three games on my list, when in fact I own over 100 spanning 25 years and close to a dozen different consoles.  I only put those there because I wanted the fancy icons under my name.

somehow that doesn't justify the "COMPLETELY out of touch" argument you presented.

 

After all, all 3 games you have chosen aren't given bad scored by IGN, no?

Just beat this game and I can say without a doubt they didn't even beat this game, its not a 25 hour game... I beat it in about 12 with me messing around getting stuck and just casually playing.

Does anyone even fact check Bozon anymore? This is starting to get ridiculous.

well last generation and this generation reviews have meant nothing to me. I have bought many of poor rated games and still enjoyed every minute of it.

So for ign to review this game and to give off points that have been recycled in many other games (sloppy controls, glitches and bugs) I wouldn't take their review for a grain of salt.

What's funny is that I was never really into the series until I seen the box art for this game and I have to see some gameplay videos and I liked them, a lot.

So my verdict is me buying the game at a decent price used

Aww.. only 12 hours? That sucks, one of the few games that made me play it for 2 hours in a row (yeah, i usually play for a few minutes a time) is so short? I hope there's SOME replayability so i can play it again ^^

The visuals are well done, but the spotty motion and camera controls, stale story, and sometimes painful voice work really brings down the package.

Some decent effects are used, and the game is full of unique enemies, great animations, and some pretty epic moments. Pop-in abounds.
6.0 Sound
There are a few keepers in the game's soundtrack, but the voice work needs serious help, and some of the battle music feels truly out of place.
6.0 Gameplay
The battle system was on the right track, but it feels as though more time was spent developing mini-games than polishing the core mechanic.
6.0 Lasting Appeal
There's a good 25 hours of an adventure to explore, but you'll have to ignore a lot of shortcomings to enjoy it.

What? Don't call  this 'Crystal Chronicles 2', for  it doesn't deserve it. It's more like a spin-off of the spin-off series. It's only passable even at that. :(

 

(Yes, I do have it and have played it a lot. Square Enix tried to do something different and they'll be burned for it. I just hope they  don't blame Wii.)

Yeah you can do the new game plus and there's a lot of side things to do for endless amounts of time.

Also he says Chocobo racing is great, he lies, its annoying and stupid lol but there's many other side games to play that are a lot more fun.
