Bungie will do whats best for the game. Halo 3 has the best MP maps I'v ever seen and the ratio of people per map is jsut right. If they have massive maps, im sure we will se 10 on 10 or 12 on 12

Whats the max party size on the Xbox 360 online? Is it 8 players or is it 4? Whichever it is they will probably use some multiple of that for their online. 8x 2 = 16 or 4 x 4 = 16 so either two parties of 8 or four of 4.

Probably will if there will be dedicated servers for it. If not, then having that many players online will result in major lag.

4vs4 or 5vs5 is the best for Halo. I am not a fan of HUGE battle things. I prefer small teams.

I don't want Halo to support that many players, at least not in ranked. With all the vehicles and things going on it would be a huge mess just like all the other games that support that many players. I like the fact that in smaller matches (4v4) every encounter you have turns into a personal little fight between you and the other people. It's like you have to earn every kill you get.

In games like KZ2 you kill so many people so fast that it doesn't even matter. It ends up feeling like some shooting gallery. MW2 feels the same but for different reason (lower health, faster action). 16 player matches are ok for Halo and if they have 24 player Social matches I guess it would be ok, but honestly Halo 3 Big Team Matches can be really laggy and chaotic to the point that it doesn't make any sense. I don't see Bungie using dedicated servers so anything over 16 would probably be a mess.

We might be finding out in a couple days once GI starts hitting shelves.
