Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Do you think Halo: Reach will have 32 player Multiplayer?

I doubt it. But maybe they are increasing the environment sizes.

That would be amazing and groundbreaking but i don't think so.

Bungie has repeatedly said they don't much like Halo beyond 6 v 6. They want people to feel their role is important.

Can't we all just get along and play our games in peace?

lol that would be fun and chaotic as 8 vs 8 is already chaotic so 16 vs 16 would be ......
you would find the ground explding ever 0.5 of a second with grenades i would love to see avalanche with 12 v 12.

That would be stupidly chaotic to the point of not being any fun. Let's keep it 8 VS 8 :-/

killzone 2 have 32 players, it's a fun mess!!!!!!!!!! until someone brings the rocket launcher, the good thing u can ban it.

sure... but then that wouldn't make it halo, would it? Voice communication is a much higher priority in that game that any other game i've played (even mw2).  You can't have 16 people on your team all saying different things, too confusing.

I suppose it would work it there was only party chat and no game chat in a 32 player match. Still, I just think it messes up the whole Halo formula of strategy.

And that's the only thing I need is *this*. I don't need this or this. Just this PS4... And this gaming PC. - The PS4 and the Gaming PC and that's all I need... And this Xbox 360. - The PS4, the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360, and that's all I need... And these PS3's. - The PS4, and these PS3's, and the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360... And this Nintendo DS. - The PS4, this Xbox 360, and the Gaming PC, and the PS3's, and that's all *I* need. And that's *all* I need too. I don't need one other thing, not one... I need this. - The Gaming PC and PS4, and Xbox 360, and thePS3's . Well what are you looking at? What do you think I'm some kind of a jerk or something! - And this. That's all I need.

Obligatory dick measuring Gaming Laptop Specs: Sager NP8270-GTX: 17.3" FULL HD (1920X1080) LED Matte LC, nVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M, Intel Core i7-4700MQ, 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3, 750GB SATA II 3GB/s 7,200 RPM Hard Drive

kz2 have 4 players squads.

i was in clan match last night, we won =).

I'm not saying they should change all gametypes to 16 vs 16, but I think it would be pretty sweet to have a playlist or two where 12 v12 or 16 v16 go at it in epic battles.

either way you can just look for small matches so that solves that lol

OT: i wish, but i dont know of an fps thats 32 player online on xbox360 game, if there is, someone tell me about it

yeah, i think it's the chaotic nature of 32 players that makes kz2 the only online shooter i really enjoyed.  ...and like radiant said you can always look for games with player restrictions if you don't want to play with that many.

but anyways, variety is the spice of life and a well crafted 8v8 is just as desireable as 16v16 or 128v128 (ect.) as long as the experience is good.  i'm pretty sure bungie will do a good job with whatever they decide to make.
