Forums - Nintendo - Zelda Wii info (Monster Hunter inspiration? New art style?)

Yep, I really enjoyed the character models in Twilight Princess, but the overall art style could be somewhat... for a lack of a better word, dull... in open areas (in enclosed areas such as dungeons is where the atmosphere of the game really shined, as well as the aforementioned characters themselves). A different art style could really push the idea of this game, much of the reason of why I found Wind Waker to be so darn interesting everywhere I went.

Other than that, looks like I'll be playing Monster Hunter Tri to get a slight "glimpse" of the upcoming Zelda goodness.

Sounds great.

Oh very exciting. Can't wait to see some of the changes as most Zelda games do have some changes somewhere or another... some being more radical than others. This is going to be my most hyped game for quite sometime and potentially the biggest game of E3 2010... that would be quite an accomplishment.

I really can't wait to learn more. I've been waiting for Zelda Wii for far too long.

I hope that learning from MH he goes for more action over long dungeon stretches.

As in don't give us the water temple puzzles or have us hang on a copter plant for two minutes. And don't have puzzles that force us to go to gamefaqs. You want the expanded audience, never do that.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

I could understand difficult parts. But for puzzles, it could run the risk of making the players feel stupid (or even insulted if the solution is ridiculous to them), rather than simply not skilled enough yet.

Layton-style Super Guide.

Layton is a puzzle game from the outset, not an action game that got more puzzles later on.

What i am most interested in is the art style, i really REALLY don't want it to be realistic... something between Tales of graces and MonHun Tri would be interesting.
