No, and don't get me wrong, Uncharted and Uncharted 2 are some of the best games this generation. But I think what you're getting at is them being on a MGS, Mario, Zelda, Final Fantasy level and there is no way. What Uncharted does is perfectly melds several formulas together into a cohesive whole. However, the story, which is a pretty big deal in a game like this, is pretty formulaic and ultimately not as memorable as would be necessary for long-term rememberance like that.
Uncharted is genre fiction, like John Grisham with his lawyer stories. The thing about genre fiction is that in order to fit into that genre, you HAVE TO be formulaic. You can't go outside of the box too far, or you're just making regular fiction. Compare that to final fantasy, they just re-make the box for every game. Metal Gear Solid has such a convincing alternate reality, and is focused almost to a fault on telling it's story. Mario and Zelda almost completely eschew the story for gameplay. All of these games, which are the greatest gaming series of all time, do something better than Uncharted does, which I believe will put uncharted in the same category as Bioshock. We'll think back and go "Hey yeah, that was a great game, wonder whatever happened to that?" and then move onto whatever is the newest darling of the moment.
