Its sales are fine.

But that's because it's a great game... theren are better games, but not that many. It is superb and very addictive.

Don't count on it: World at War on the Wii saw a huge increase in December, when Activision began to advertise the Wii version's existence. It has not done anything similar for Reflex, and I doubt it's going to.
Suggesting that Reflex doesn't "have advertising" is pure BS. The sheer wake of MW2 advertising supports every game in the CoD:MW franchise. MW, MW2, MWR, you name it.
CoD:MWR is selling decently. The fact that it is not as spectacular as shooters on the HDs is a testament to Wii demographics, and has *nothing* to do with advertising, etc. And its not a "2-year old" game on the Wii, unless you already own another console, is it?
A fine comparison would be: God of War Collection. No advertising, not even in a secondary/franchise form from GoW3 (yet). Port of a two and a four year old game. Raw potential customers WAY less (PS3 vs Wii), its a far less popular genre (shooting vs action) yet its sold *more* than CoD:MWR.
Demographics is the reason why. Pure and simple.

Although the demographics are GoW fans, while not having CoD4 on the Wii before means they don't have as many CoD fans yet. So it is demographics, just not quite the way you seemed to put it.
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs
This is a two year old port in every sense of the word. Hardly anybody who buys this on Wii hasn't already played it on another system. I've been through it a few times on PC and once on 360 just myself. So yeah only die hard fans are buying it, and they are a way bigger group than I expected.
I was wrong about my early predictions of this game flopping. It is doing phenomenal. The fact that it is almost keeping pace with W@W is great.
