I've never played any of the God of War games, but i recently finished the Dantes Inferno Demo on my PS3 and i have to say i thought it was awesome. I liked the darkness to it and the settings of you being a templar, and also being able to play the good/bad angle. The story seems to be solid and i really hope the people behind Dead Space can work their magic all the way through the game.

From what i've seen of YouTube videos of God of War 1 and 2, though obviously being from last gen, dosen't strike me as being as great as some people claim it to be. Different tastes etc might be the case, but both games looks like they bring about the same badassness(!) to the tv screen. But the story, again, from what i've seen through videos, dosen't appear to be God of Wars strongest feature?

How off am I? Is God of War as good as people make it out to be or is it living off of the glorious days of last gen?

Plus, Dantes Inferno had boobs within the first minutes of the game. Which imo trumphs most games!

GoW2 (think it was that one) had boobs and a threesome within the first part of the game. A threesome that you control via QTE's. I think that wins.

Anyway, having played both God of Wars, the GoW3 demo and Dante's Inferno I think I might agree that the story is interesting for Dante but the gameplay is wholly disappointing. It played like a watered down GoW with less combos to be had. Also enemies took way too long to kill, to the point that I'd get bored just pressing Square a bunch til everything's dead. Yes I know that people will say you can button mash in GoW as well, but atleast GoW has a bunch of combos and interesting animations that make me want to switch things up, Dante's had nothing of the sort.

This is just from the demo though, the full Dante's game will probably have more combo possibilities as you level.

Looks like someone doesnt have the GOWIII demo lol XD. I have it and I have to say that Dante's Inferno demo is good, but GOWIII demo blows it away.

Wait for January so you can see new footage of GOWIII :D

well downloaded Dante's Inferno demo today and it's good, but since I also have the GowIII demo, I can say that the Gow III demo takes the win.

Really the only hack n slash that is looking to be competition for God of War 3 is Bayonetta.........Dantes Inferno is far to similar to GOW and as such will never pass GOW's shadow. Bayonetta has the right formula to beat GOW in the hack n slash genre this gen.
