I wouldn't say Nintendo have been lazy. I'd say the third parties that could have filled the void this year have been lazy.
Nintendo made a mistake with Wii Music and Animal Crossing, failing to satisfy both their existing userbase and the market in general. Unlike previous big Wii releases, they didn't satisfy Wii owners or give a long term boost to sales. As a result of that, the lack of any big Nintendo titles (although Punch Out is fantastic) until Sports Resort, and then till Wii Fit Plus and NSMB Wii has made Nintendo look lazy. Their output on Wii over the last 18 months hasn't been brilliant in terms of quantity, but next year the situation looks to improve, and I can't wait for that.
Surely Matt has some idea of how good the Wii's first party and third party line up looks for 2010? It'll only get better as the year goes on. We might not have Galaxy 2, Other M, Monado or Zelda Wii in the here and now, but they are coming.
