Forums - Nintendo - ESRB reveals new M-rated Wii game! (It's a first-person shooter)

The latest ESRB listing update has revealed a new M-rated Nintendo Wii game called SABRE Team. Published by Collision Studios, the unannounced title is a first-person shooter where you take control of “an elite special forces unit” in the Middle Eastern like setting.

ESRB cites blood and violence for SABRE Team’s M rating. Here is the full rating summary:

"This is a first-person shooter in which players take control of an elite special-forces unit. Missions are set "behind enemy lines" in a number of Middle Eastern-style locations. Players use "run-and-gun" tactics as they navigate tight alleyways and corridors, secure buildings, and kill enemy forces. Realistic machine guns, shotguns, and grenades are used throughout each mission. The blood effects account for the Mature rating: When a player is shot by an enemy, the camera jerks slightly and a semi-opaque red effect covers the screen; large sprays of blood burst out of injured characters and linger in the air for a brief period.

So who thinks this could be a new IP. or a game from an established series?

Why the heck is it that when a M-rated title is announced for Wii, everything hits the fans and the world seems to stop turning.

Pixel Art can be fun.

^ Not sure why but I guess developers wouldn't keep releasing M rated games on Wii if they didn't sell right?

You would think right..  Maybe they can be profitable selling 300k units.

Either way, I'm sure someone will be instantly excited for this without even seeing a screenshot or title.

Personally, I don't care if it's M-rated. I only care if it's good. So, let's hope it's a good game ^^

Should the fact that this game is published by Collision Studios encourage me or fill me with trepidation?

It's nice to see more FPS's coming but I won't play the victory fanfare until I've seen some screenshots.

I hope there is something else than blood and violence that makes this a "mature" title though.

This is Collision Studios website btw.

So... I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with the old DOS game?

That game was great.. but I'm sure to trust the makers of Daisy Feuntes Pilates will bring a game worthy of that name..
