Regarding FF13 guys:

Remember Uncharted 2's pre-order levels 3 months before its launch?

yeah no need to worry AT ALL in that department

I do... they ended with 297k preorders and looking at the charts thats where it would have ended... looking at these charts looks like FF13 will end with less then 200k.

kinda low in all regards, probably bcuz Christmas is just around the corner and people are buying games NOW instead of pre-ordering.

Sony has a strong core audience in USA it seems. Their big games always get nice pre-orders and sell the exact amount that they get pre-ordred. If a game is AA or AAA Sony owners want it.

This happens with Xbox core games too... However Xbox can sometimes pull in more casual purchases for games that are not preordered. Stuff like Army of 2, Lost planet 2...I wouldn't be surprised if those games double their sales from preorders the first week on 360.

A testament to Microsoft's brilliant marketing campaign IMO.

I think it has more to do with people wanting games but not badly enough to preorder them. Like Borderlands and Operation Flahshpoint. Did anyone think those games would sell as much? They had very low pre-orders. If its coop, and it involves a gun...and not a AAA exclusive, people will pick it up but may not bother pre-ordering it.

Sony owners from what I can tell seem to be more exclusive oriented in NA. There are exceptions obviously with games that are certified Sony franchises form last gen...

Obviously you failed at understanding what I said

look at Uncharted 2's pre-order numbers 3 months prior to its launch

FF13 is in no trouble at all

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

I'm going to assume that the reason BFBC2 is dead equal for preorders on PS3 and 360 is that the PS3 exclusive beta is compensating for the lack of install base.

Bad Company 2 PS3 > 360 is pretty surprising. 360 usually has the advantage with FPS.

In the Americas, the original sold:

360: 730k LT, 235k FW

PS3: 380k LT, 63k FW

I understood perfectly what you said... U2 was getting 10k weely at its 9th week. FF13 would need to quadruple it's weekly to get to those numbers... even then it will still be tracking at a pathetic FW opening for a FF game.

It has fewer pre-orders than Alpha Protocol, and you say it's not in trouble...
