lol u think this will do poorly here. thats highly unlikely considering its a FF game and the fact that many ppl have been waiting over half a decade for this game. I think you are over estimating FF in NA... it isn't as big as some of you may think. JRPGs arent as big in NA anymore. AND numerous titles during the same period were outpacing it. Which are smaller titles than FF. Darth could only say "but but but ioi!" he had no proof or facts backing him up like I have. The user base will be much smaller on top of Ps3 already having a harder time selling SW then the Ps2.

Opened with less than 400k and ended with over 2 million on the Ps3. This game is in a genre that is heavily front loaded in NA and is in the same franchise as the game with the biggest entertainment launch EVER! 2 million is around all the other FF games.

None of you have any reason to believe a game selling at a slower pace than games that are small than all previous FF will sell miraculously. Especially when the Ps2 was JRPG king and sold those like gold. On a bigger user base.

I already have ripped him argument to shreds in the American preorders chart thread on this same topic, I showed him various sources indicating FF13 pre-orders were high, I showed him proof of S-E's huge marketing that was to come & ioi tried to explain things to him too.

You clearly are talking out of your ass. Your nintendo bias is sickening. The game is RE 4 in HD, and with Co-OP, which is an improvement to me. Chris Redfield got buffer, so what? Even if you bullshit theory that "it was to get more westerners to buy it" whats is it to you? It didn't hurt the gameplay one bit. If you think the game isn't about survival, then i bet you havent played on professional, or haven't even played the game because all you own is a Wii. The game is linear, but it gives you the option to choose which route to take, the same way as RE4.
