I think you're misreading content completely. I didn't check the other thread all that closely, but I recall people saying things like "I hope this is fake", I didn't see many going "Yeah, this is fake". And in this thread, atleast when you posted, nobody said "Yeah this is definitely true", they simply gave input on what they thought of it - if it were to be true.

Also, even if people went in here going "Yeah this has to be true" and went "There's no way this is true" in the other thread, that's hardly a double standard. Because 39/40 has happened tons of times before. Especially for hyped games. A 52/40, however, has never happened, in the 23-year history of Famitsu.

There have been no double standards here.

I really wish it would score even lower because for some fucking reason 39/40 is suddenly bad, my god, there's nothing wrong with reviews but people who take them too seriously.

It might be a good thing if it's 39/40. They were probably scared to give it a 40/40 due to people thinking they were going to give it a 40/40.

How come hypocrites flame Famitsu when a game gets a perfect score, and they flame the game when it doesn't? Are they biased, or just ignorant?

I totally agree with you guys, and CGI already knows that I hate perfect scores or things around those levels in the first place, but the level of "meltdown" over certain users is somewhat sad.

I mean so what if nintendogs and other games get better score (I still hate perfect scores), it doesn't hinder your ability to like this game.

I somewhat expected it from darth (no offense to you darth), and darth has gained respect from me for not melting down.

Also congratulations darth, can I start calling you Dr. Darth?
