The problem with this question, is we would be the last attacked. There would be no one to come to our rescue if China invaded us.

Are we assuming with this scenario that no one will be allied with the USSR or China (depending on which country you're using)? Because that's a strong possibility.

Kinda reminds me of a Civ 2 Scenario.

I takes place in a US having been conquered and partitioned by Russia, Iraq, Cuba... and one or two other nations... I can't recall.

China was probably in there.

The sides then turned on each other.

I wanna say I usually picked Iraq or Cuba.

America said they wouldn't get involved in a war in Europe so just be thankful they eventually did join. And who cares what their reasons for joining were. If someone gave you a million dollars because you were the ugliest person they'd ever seen I'm sure you'd still take the million dollars.

Why would someone invade US? C'mon, only North Korea is powerful enough to conquer and destroy America, as all of us have been told, haven't we? :)

Doesn't mean I would feel indebted to the person either. America did what it did for its own selfish reasons, Europe doesn't owe them a debt.

Absolutely!!! If there ever was an enemy that was powerful enough to invade the United States, the enemy of my friend is my enemy and I would be there volunteering for the first plane/boat over to help defend the U.S.A. because I hope that the U.S.A. would do the same for New Zealand.

That's why American OPINION changed... however we didn't get into the war for selfish reasons.  We got into the War because FDR lied.

Had FDR not had backdoor communications and plotting with Churchill and gave the UK a bunch of support basically for free... we would of never gotten into the war.  Or at least not the Europeon Theatre.
