inFamous was released during the middle of the year, and at the time, its sales didn't look overly promising. It only managed to sell around 250,000 in its first week worldwide and sales dropped off relatively quickly.
However, Sony have now announced that the game has managed to sell 1.2 million units as of October, 2009. It shows that PlayStation 3 titles really do have long life-spans.
The game has also seen a slight price drop in the United States, with it now costing $39.99. Extra content which was previously only accessible as a pre-order item will also be made available for free on December the 10th. It means that everyone can now be able to use the Gigawatt Blades.
