PS3 sales are astonishing, but I think its mainly attributed to marketing & price

trust me if the phat PS3 was at $299 & marketed in this same way, sales would have still been the same this week

Not a bad idea, businesswise. I doubt I'd pick either up because I rarely see the point of these redesigns, but if it can net them some healthy profit there's no reason they shouldn't.

Which features can Nintendo add to the Wii? Seems to me like it already has everything it needs.

Backwards compatibility is in, storage is not a problem anymore with SDHC support. More USB ports aren't needed, it already has WiFi too.

So they could add an Ethernet port. Anything else?

With the debacle that was RROD with the original design of the 360, Microsoft should avoid any superficial changes to the 360.

360 redesign? Doubt it, considering PS consoles always have a "slim" version, MS wont want to seem like the copy-cat. Not to forget, MS hardware = "eek"

Because the PS2 was a great peice of hardware, and the original Xbox was prone to failure 50% of the time?

Sony and Microsoft have had their mishaps in that area, that doesn't mean Microsoft are bad at making hardware

I don't think Nintendo has redesigned a piece of hardware since the NES(with the Toploader). However, I do agree that they should release moar colors! That'd rock!

Do i think MS want to have another $1Billion payout to fix a bunch more consoles? No.

i'm rather surprised they havent released the black wii in Na yet, it was huuge in the UK and i think they should do it before Christmas
