lmao, epic realization. You sir, win the internet, and your insight has caused me to laugh. I've said "lol" many times, but I never really meant it until now.
I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.

Did you just mention Famitsu? The same magazine that gave in the last two years llike eight 40s?
Anyway, I don't think that there's a comparison between this game and God of War, even though they are in the same genre.
Bayonetta is a game that focuses on the gameplay, like DMC and NGS, God of War however is a game that focuses on the spectacle - epic soundtrack, great visuals, amazing scenarios, the gameplay is very simple though.
Bet with Dr.A.Peter.Nintendo that Super Mario Galaxy 2 won't sell 15 million copies up to six months after it's release, the winner will get Avatar control for a week and signature control for a month.
Awesome, im extremely excited for this game, and will get it on release day

The main difference being the cheesyness of the banter. Perhaps I need to see more to understand what is so the shiz about this game, other than the shapeliness of the main character. It is hard to resist a sexy woman who wears glasses I'll admit. |
Bayonnetta is about as far from Dynasty warriors as you can possibly get. I cant even imagine why you would compare the two. I played the demo and was blown away by the game play. I never thought there could be a game that could unseat Ninja Gaiden: Black as my favorite action hack and slash.( GOW is a good series but i don't put it on the same high pedestal as everyone else.) One thing i love is the near unlimited combo options you have, and being able to practice them during the load screens was pretty sweet as well. I also love being able to cancel in the middle of combo's to evade enemy attacks. I have never played a demo as many times as i did Bayonetta, and i can only imagine what the rest of the game is like. I expected nothing less from the creator of Devil May Cry.
PS360 FTW!

You ALMOST got off track there at the beginning, but ended up being pretty much right. God of War is not, nor shall ever be about great gameplay. It is about the spectacle, and that's why I am bitter about its success. I've always been aboout the gameplay. DMC, NG, and Bayonetta I imagine, are heavily gameplay focused. Their story is overthetop goofy fodder meant to entertain between adrenaline fueled firefights.
God of War instead, focuses on the story and individual situations which mix up gameplay and focus in on Kragoos's badassery.
That said, again, GoW wouldn't exist in its current form without DMC1. DMC1 invented a subgenre within the beat-em-up genre, which pretty much redefined "hack and slash." GoW really does copy its core fundamentals right doown to the color of the experience orbs, and so does Ninja Gaiden. Both developers of NG and GoW openly admit this, just as its obvious that Gears of War and Dead Space were admittedly influenced by RE4.
Most people don't realize it, but DMC was one of the very good PS2 games, imho. At that time, I had The Summoner, Onimusha, and DMC. I was waiting for MGS2, and in the end, I thought MGS2 sucked, while DMC reinvented a genre, and added a whole new level of depth to combo based hack n' slash games. It truely was a revolutionary title, and its formula formed the basis for many games that came after it, including God of War and Ninja Gaiden. That at least, is undeniable.
