The point isn't just if you don't want a PSP, also because playing games on the PSP is a pain if you are home. Its much better to play on a TV with a controller if you have a choice.

I would hope that the saves can be transfered. I have a bunch of PSP saves on a memory stick, would be nice to just plug that into the PS3 and switch off or plug the PSP into the PS3 and play like that.

Great, will be a great incentive for PSP developers to produce more PSP games now that they know they can sell it on both PS3 and PSP.

I'd love it more if that rumored UMD drive for the PSP Go can also hook up to your PS3 to play on the big screen. Some amazing PSP games just deserve to be played on TV.

OT: If rumor is tru i wonder if the PSP games still have the big black border around the screen like how it does when you hook up the PSP to the TV.

The point is that if you own both, you can play a game at home on the big screen, and then during the work/school work, you can take the same game on the go. You don't have to be playing different games on different systems.

Or, obviously, if you don't own a PSP at all, you can still play PSP games on your PS3 -- and there are a LOT of good PSP games, actually. It'll be extra cool if they get upscaled/smoothed.

This is one of the reasons I bought the PSP Go, actually -- it lets you hook up to a TV, and use a PS3 controller to play. If this feature had been present in my PS3, I may have chosen to just buy PSP games on my PS3 instead.

Holy crap, that would be a great addition for those of us adverse to portable gaming. I'd buy Patapon 1 & 2 for sure.

This is like someone who owns a SNES, and loads of carts for it, saying "How is Wii VC awesome?  I have a SNES, I don't think its awesome."  or like someone saying "PSN has PS1 games like FF7?  I have FF7 on disc, thus, I don't even understand how it could be awesome for anyone else".

There are a couple of PSP games I want. And I don't want to buy a PSP(again). This would save me a lot of money ^_^
