Forums - Gaming - What if Alan Wake and Heavy Rain.....................

Because I don't have a 360 I can't possibly have the option of buying Alan Wake on the same day as Heavy Rain releases, unless HR releases on the same day as the PC port of Alan Wake. Alan Wake looks good but if Mass Effect can't convince me to buy a 360 I don't think Alan Wake can.

On the basis that I could only buy the PC port I will have to go with Heavy Rain as the title I will get. I pretty much restrict my PC gaming to RTS and WRPG, everything else (including the rare FPSs I play) belong on console for me. So Alan Wake on PC is out of contention.

I think I'll pick up a cheap 360 once the 720 comes out. Then I'll play the best 360 titles that are single player focussed, story driven games (i.e. not requiring a Gold membership to get the most out of them). At that point Alan Wake (assuming it does turn out to be a great game) will be at the top of my 360 games to buy list. Along with Mass Effect 1 & 2 if they don't get ported to PS3.

So there will probably be a good couple of years between me playing HR and AW.

The day I buy my obsolesent 360 I'll be asking y'all for advice on what other games I should get.

Heavy Rain for me.

You played Heavy Rain? How???

OP - Alan Wake looks insane. Heavy Rain just looks alright. I'm gonna say Alan Wake just cause it looks better.

A. He went to an expo and played it.

B. Tell us why you are interetsed in Alan Wake, without references to Heavy Rain.

Well I never played Indigo Prophecy and I don't know much about Quantic Dream.

Damn I just realized you said without reference to Heavy Rain.

Well I know the team that is doing Alan Wake did both Max Payne games. And those were really fun back in teh day. I am actually looking forward to this more than Max Payne 3.

HEAVY RAIN.

Because CGI made me a believer.

Guys..........content is key. Tell us why you prefer Heavy Rain, without reference to Alan Wake.

oh ok, because heavy rain looks like it will have the best story (besides ffXIII) next year....it looks deep and looks like a AAA when it comes to replayability

Alan Wake if I had to choose, Heavy Rain does not seem like the game for me.
