Actually, my favorite boss in the game was the Kraken, he reminded me of SOTC :P

Slightly off topic but, is it possible to pre-order GoW3 for a demo code then cancel the pre-order? :x

whats funny about this topic is that ive owned the original god of war about 5 times and never beat it. this thread alone has motivated me to finish it and purchase god of war 2 after. (sent via Blackberry)

Both are definitely in my top 10 best games ever list. I have only played them all trough with hard though. God and Titan mode are just too frustrating for me (especially GoWII). Khuutra have you played Chains of Olympus? It is pretty neat game as well. Just little short. I also hate it that Sony always diss Europe. Where is my Collection ?!

Firstly, nice tread. Want your opinion on this: I've never played or even seen GoW. I sold my PS2 and got a GC before it came out and none of my friends had any real taste in games. Now the thing is I don't have THAT much time to play games, and I already have Uncharted2 and MGS4 on my plate for December.

Is it REALLY worth playing GOW1+2 if GOW3 is coming out next year and there are SO many good games out at the moment?

Your thread has actually made me consider GOW collection, but I'm yet to be fully convinced. Any very good reviews of GOW1 or 2 that you can post a link of?

Wow I just beat GOW II today like an hour ago. It wasn't my first time but damn it that game is just one amazing Adrenaline pumping roller coaster ride.

While it is weaker than GOW1 in the story department, it's definitely better in the gameplay and combat areas. Some of the set pieces, bosses and combat scenarios are amazing and on top of that it's almost double the length of the first game.

I don't know your opinion on this Khuutra but I found the sub weapons almost uesless compierd to the blades. The Barbarin Hammer is good at crowd control but the lack of evading makes it almost an useble against bosses and larger enemies like the Cyclops. The Spear of Destniy is cool and has the abilty to evade but it's not as good as the blades so when it came down to upgrading I went with the blades then the magic.

The Colossus at the start is one of my favorite bosses, seriously EVERY game needs to have an epic opening like that.

God of War is really awesome, I remember that Thesseus in Titan was horribly hard that it was really satisfactory when I killed him with the door. Another hard one could be the Hairy Cerberus, his flame was really annoying.
