Forums - Gaming - Favorite FF6 character?

People often talk about how much they love FF6... but I rarely see people talk about their favorite character.

Mine I think is Cyan.  You really feel for the guy, the Phantom train is awesome... as his optional WoR quest.  He also provides some of the best comic relief.  His overreaction to getting hit on by a waitress is great.

My avatar says hi.

Easily the best video game villain of all-time.

"There's nothing like the sound of hundreds of voices screaming in unison."
"Life... dreams... hope... Where'd they come from? And where are they headed...? These things... I'm going to destroy!"
"I will destroy everything! I will create a monument to non-existence!"
"I don't like this little hamlet. Burn it!"

Let's not forget the laugh, THE LAUGH OMG!!!

Celes!

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

Oh, that's so freakin' hard.

I think I'll go with Locke. He's a man of honor and conflictions, a powerful fighter (especially early on), and he manages to be even more awesome later in the game. Also, his side of the story in West Figaro was really fun (when he changes into the various disguises).

Gau is a close second for his abilities and his back story. Cyan's great too, but I didn't like his techniques too much. Oh, and Setzer wins in my department for best character design.

I have yet to play FF6 :D

But!! I am in the midst of FF5, after just playing FF1-4, and will be playing FF6 once I finish 5. I am playing FF1-12 for shits and giggles and hopefully I finish in time for 13 release.

Sadly, I haven't played FF6 nearly as much as I should have (yet), but from what the little I have played, for now, I'd have to say Kefka.

Mine is also Cyan.

"Naturally the common people don't want war: Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, IT IS THE LEADERS of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. IT WORKS THE SAME IN ANY COUNTRY."  --Hermann Goering, leading Nazi party member, at the Nuremberg War Crime Trials
