I dont know if this is about all Uk or just some part of UK, but this article is either lying or the numbers from vgchartz are false:

The article says:

In these last few months leading up to Christmas, the Xbox 360 has shot ahead by an ever-increasing margin:
 
September –
Xbox 360: 55%
PS3: 45%
 
October –
Xbox 360: 62%
PS3: 38%


 But when I want to do some research on vgchartz site, I found those following resutls

 

VGChartz Hardware data for the period 30th Aug 2009 to 03rd Oct 2009:

Console PS3 X360
UK
171,563
77,165

PS3 sales way over X360 for the month of September

 

VGChartz Hardware data for the period 04th Oct 2009 to 31st Oct 2009:

 

Console PS3 X360
UK
106,804
76,729

PS3 sales again over Xbox360 for the month of October

 

So which one is right and which one is wrong then.

Thats well over $500 right there, while the cheapest PS3 is only $300.

i know your joking but the 360 Elite is £199 and the PS3 is £249. The 360 is getting some good Bundle loving at the moment as well. An example of this is £199 for Forza 3 and MW2 (EDIT: and obviously a 360 elite)

True but you can get PS3 for £199 at Sainsburys. Both have deals, although Xbox has more at the moment. The main point is you do get more for you Pound in the main thing you purchase when buying a PS3, if you decide you want Gold Subscription and a wifi then it does bump up the price to near even, and that's without the Blu-ray feature.

Yeah, but the current statistics, week over week, show the ps3 outselling Europe...that would be a drastic change...The PS3 Slim has been outselling the 360 steadily in Europe since its launch, though the 360 has continued to outsell the PS3 in USA.

Something is not right here.

This site is very far from professional. They even admit that they are only given so much information and they extrapolate it. I would take information from Wikipedia to be more valid than from this site. That said, you do get a good idea of trends and mathmatics (considering eventually they do get mostly accurate numbers).

I thought that was a very reasonable prediction up until the bolded section.

Well on this site it showed x360 almost outsold ps3 2:1 last week in UK. So its hardly a suprise. :)
