I dont know if this is about all Uk or just some part of UK, but this article is either lying or the numbers from vgchartz are false:
The article says:
In these last few months leading up to Christmas, the Xbox 360 has shot ahead by an ever-increasing margin:
September –
Xbox 360: 55%
PS3: 45%
October –
Xbox 360: 62%
PS3: 38%
But when I want to do some research on vgchartz site, I found those following resutls
VGChartz Hardware data for the period 30th Aug 2009 to 03rd Oct 2009:
