Forums - General - do you think I'm to old for videogames (my first post)

I was born in 1980 and being play video games since 1987. I think it's great to see how far video games have come along, since I started playing them, from a kid's toy,to main stream enertainment. It's just as mainstream as watching movies. I'm almost 30 and can't play as much as I used to,but I do play all day at least 2 days a week. I have a ps3 and 360 and hope to get a wii soon!!!!!! I have to take my time beating games. So do you think 29 is to old to play videogames. Should I give up on this hobbie I've loved for 20+ yrs.

In short, no.

Hell, you can't become too old for ie. patience card games or Uno, so why should you become too old to play videogames?

...you're 29, how is that too old and why do you even think you're old? I came in here expecting someone to say they're 60+.

That said, I do think you're too old for multiple exclamtion marks.

We used to have a member here called Grampy, I believe he was well over 60 and even made one of the most epic sigs I've ever seen on any site - aside from the fact that he had this awesome avatar of Mario with his face plastered over it.

So no... you are not too old.

Yeah whatever happened to that guy? He was cool and I liked his posts.

Bet between Slimbeast and Arius Dion about Wii sales 2009:

If the Wii sells less than 20 million in 2009 (as defined by VGC sales between week ending 3d Jan 2009 to week ending 4th Jan 2010) Slimebeast wins and get to control Arius Dion's sig for 1 month.

If the Wii sells more than 20 million in 2009 (as defined above) Arius Dion wins and gets to control Slimebeast's sig for 1 month.

Nope...i know a 63 y.o who plays vgs!

As long as you continue to have fun with videogames, then you aren't too old. Once it stops being enjoyable for you, then it's time to get out. You don't want to be forcing yourself to play videogames when they aren't enjoyable, since they'll start ruining your earlier memories of fun times with videogames.

Uhm.. talking about Grampy... he hasn't been around for a while... you guys don't think.. O_O

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

grampy made funny posts. his prediction sig is way off though (for the Wii anyway)
