I did that on my first playthrough, I got the Keeper to finally accept the Lady of the Forest and to give them the respite they deserved, while keeping the elves as my allies. It's not hard, you just have to pick the right choices

It was the same for me, Eamon, Irving, The Legion of the Dead, all died because of my AoE spells, yet in the ending story credits you hear about them being alive and well :P My main concern on the fight was keeping my MC alive, he was a beast of a tank (over 500 HP) and with Threaten and Taunt, pretty much all the mobs and AD were only attacking him while taking the full force of 3 AoE xD Also Leliana was taking pot shots with Scattershot and Supressing Fire.

Getting it for my dads PC tomorrow (finally)

I wonder if it can put up a bigger challenge than the Baldur's Gate games...

Play it on Hard as you're getting it on PC. Trust me, it can rival Baldur's Gate xD And if you're not satisfied with the difficulty, then try Nightmare :P

Yeah il probably play it on hard for the first playthrough, usually tend to do with these kind of games.

If its harder than Icewind Dale 2 was on hard, then i'l be satisfied

How is nightmare? Just like Heart of Winter mode of the Icewind Dale games?

In some battles it can get even harder than Heart of Winter :P Imagine getting OHKO on your tank which has about 400HP by a boss and you can barely scratch it xD (I've been trying to defeat High Dragon on Nightmare to no avail :P)

Orzammar looks really awesome in DA:O xD Just wait until you get to the deep roads and the lost Thaigs ;) Oh, and make sure you participate on the provings, it's a nice way to earn some cash and exp.

Well, that's because you have the PS3 version :P I have the PC version with the HD texture mod xD I assure you, it's far, far from sub par :P

Flemeth was one of the most fun fights in the game, that and the high dragon were the truly challenging fights in the game. Took a lot of tries with different sets, finally my dwarven berserker with Yasaris beheaded her in a very epic level.
