Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Why did the wired controller fail?

I have both, but generally only use the wired one on my PC.

When I do use it on my 360 though, it seems to have much better/stronger rumble than my wireless one.

Why the 2 360's dis?

As for the OP, wireless is so much better.

The OP has been edited, hasn't it?

This thread is like asking why the NES failed. (Hint, it didn't.)

I use the wired as my primary controller. Also, I have young kids, but them tripping on the wires is not an issue because the disconnect works great.

I like wired... most of the time I'm looking where I put my Wiimote or 360 controller after a long night... with a wire I can trace them back...

wired controlers have been around for 30 years. yeah, sounds lie they failed.

Because you can't conveniently hide it from your parents in your pants while you play rumble-intensive games.
