Forums - Gaming - Which game sequels didn't fulfill your expectations this gen...

Nothing sequel-wise has really disappointed me because I don't get all hyped up for games that much so I don't expect it to be the game of the generation. Twilight Princess would be the only one since I was so looking forward to it but I didn't have the feeling I thought I would playing it.

He's still fast and his attacks form combos well, but the range of his gun and Firefox has been reduced. his reflector is weaker, and worst of all, his smash attacks can't knock out opponents anymore.

They ruined him ;_;

I LOVE ICELAND!

Far Cry 2- Enemies that would respawn 2 minutes later, the fact that it took forever to get anywhere and the repetitiveness killed it for me.

-Super Paper Mario
-Pokemon Diamond/Pearl (Platinum fixed it)
-Harvest Moon DS (and every HM game that followed)
-The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (as a spiritual successor of Ocarina or a sequel to WW, take your pick)
-The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass (It was somewhat fun, but felt like a rehash of Wind Waker with half the content and a lot of repetition. On the whole, nearly all other handheld Zeldas have been more fun and that made me dissapointed.)
-Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow (Even less weapons and area to explore than Aria and even worse sprite animation...on a DS game)
-Children of Mana (I wait 6 years for a new Mana game and I get THIS!?)

Six upcoming games you should look into:

Around the Network

FEAR 2 - Not scary. Good FPS though.

Condemned 2 - Not scary. Only decent game.

DMC4 - Never played the previous games, but I heard great things from them. Nice game, but that's it.

PES 2000 series - Horrible mediocre.

Need For Speed Pro Street - Worst game in the series.

Burnout Paradise - too many gamebreaking flaws, no real crash mode etc.

Call of Duty 3 - Well it was made by Treyarch, but I didn't know that when I played it for the first time.

Far Cry 2 - Different developer - different gameplay......boring gameplay. Open world environments doesn't work for that game.

GTA IV - awesome game, but sooo different it's unbelievable. Could be so much better :'(

Tony Hawk's Proving Ground - Mediocre.... Project 8 was the best TH game in a long time.

So you actually thought Killzone 1 was better than 2? I've not played part 2 yet but damn...thats some picky taste in gaming...cause part 1 wasn't good.

Also, Gears 1 and 2 were both dissapointing?

Thats cause most of the halo3 hate came after people played the campaign and months after...Campaign can be a little underwhelming when you play it the first time. but it has more replay value than any other.   now 2 years in when people realize that they still play the game, its kinda hard to say its a dissapointing sequel.
