The young gamers want to be the person they play ? I never thought about this when I was younger. this thing with the identification with the main character is just a myth in my eyes in movies too. Why the hell would someone needs to identificate with a character in a movie or a game ? I loved to be Kirby Yoshi beeing a block in Tetris. Beeing Mario Lara Croft or whatever. A movie or a games success has nothing to do with identification. A good game/movie is good if the content is good the story, game play. Someone ever imagined to be the main character in a movie or a game ? Is a movie or a game better because the main character is similar to your character ? Do you play a Game or watch a movie because this is the life you want to live ? Sometimes someone may think wouldnt it be cool to live this life but thats not the reason why you watch the movie or play the game.

Beeing a gay character in a game wouldnt make people not buy the game even if th audience are straight boys between 12-20. Someone ever said this game is shit because the Character is a black person or chinese or a women or a ball an animal or a diver. I think except SOME boys between 12-17 noone would care about that. And this boys probably would laugh but thats it. I dont think that would distract people. Gay people are maybe a subject to laugh about but not because of their sexual orientation its just because some of them act so weird and make funny voices. But we laugh about almost everybody not just gay people. I think that everybody would play a good game despite the fact that there are gay people inside. And I think the boys in the puberty wouldnt care so much about it either.


Whats with this GTA DLC I dont know the game arent you a gay fat guy called Gay Tony or something ? Its pretty much like in South park where GAYs where Bikers. Calling someone Gay has most of the time nothing to do with his sexuality. The people dont have a problem with Gays and our ViceChancelor is Gay for example. I dont have a problem with gays the only thing is that men just dont like it if they beeing touched by a men even if its a straight guy. Even if some have issues gay content in a game would never affect the selling numbers.

Sexuality itself is rare in games not just gay sexuality. I probably saw gay scenes as often as straight scences in games.
