I do agree that multiplayer online for a platform game where you can kill your own partners would probably suck online if not with friends... so that would make it's use pretty limited...

Metroid prime 3 could have easily had an online option...

Super mario galaxy could have had online leaderbords to see who completes a level the fastest. Or 2 people going online and trying to complete the level the fastest(just like those cosmic star levels, but then with a real player)

And I wouldn't complain if metal gear solid and God of war 1 and 2 had online options, but that wasn't possible back then.

Here is the truth. I want to play with my childhood friends who live in another town for this game. Plain and simple.

It's one thing to not have online play, another to come up with BS excuse for it.

And the reason for not including the option is....*drrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr*........still waiting....*drrrrrrrrr*....????

I like to see my friends their faces when I pwn them and insult them and stuff. Having some snacks on the table, throwing cats on them bc they're afraid of them,etc

yes, but, you'd have MORE fun playing in the same room. Nintendo fans only deserve the cream of the crop, not some crappy crop itself.

I'm not a fan of online gaming either, but I like having the option to chose whether to see my rivals faces or not... I have a lot of friends who live in other places and would love to play a game with them, specially this game... Anyway, it's awesome nevertheless

Mario is fun with local multiplayer anyways.
