Forums - Sales - Predict Sales for FFXIII, NSMBWii, ToG and SW3 in Japan

Famitsu predictions goes higher every week for FF XIII. If the game happens to have over 1 million pre-orders i predict it to do 1.5 million first week and 2 million first month. Believe in 2.5 million LTD if we can count the international edition that releases 3 years later.

Their FF13 numbers look the same to me. They still have it topping out at 1.5 million.

Their Graces numbers are stupid. Tales games don't have legs but they really only expect it to sell around 30k in total after its first week? The longer it's under Vesperia the more absurd it is.

Tag - "No trolling on my watch!"

@inveted Yeah I find that rather ironic. But Claude's right, they still haven't moved their lifetime prediction. I think I'll wait one more week to see where the preorders go before posting my predictions.

Proudest Platinums:
1. Gran Turismo 5
2. Persona 4 Arena
3. Wipeout HD
4. Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2
5. Super Street Fighter 4

NSMBW has 75k pre-orders and the 75,000 will become 1,000,000k in 3 weeks this comment is from my ps3

^^NSMB is not a game u preorder like an FF game or tales. Plus it only started showing up in the preorders list last week. i think it will do 400-600k FW with huge legs, and even if they do mean shipments, Nintendo never overship their games, if anything they leave things conservatively low.

Plus you seem to think that sales equals preorders, well it doesnt. For an FF or Tales game i'd say first week is 1.2 times higher than preorders, however in case of mario its more like 2 times higher. Preorders of mario will definitely reach about 200-300k by the time it releases.

So i guess that answers it :)

Not really. Lot of Tales of fans just did buy a PS3 for Tales of Vesperia, and you expect them buy another another console after a couple of months? FFXIII could also hurt it's sales.

There's a whole lot more Wii's out there than PS3's, so I imagine most of them already have a Wii. MH3 will break a million, and didn't need to move too many consoles to do so.

Yes, and there a lot more DS's and than PSP's there, but some games just sell better on the PSP and some them are the Tales of games.

Marvelous did also make an interessting comment regarding 3rd-party games sales on the Wii a couple of months ago.

If I find I will post it here.

Since it's safe to say practically everyone in Japan owns a DS, we cannot say the reason Tales is ignored on the platform due to the lack of its fanbase. In this case, it's the game content itself - I'm not sure what Tales of the World:RM2 is, but it must be closer to what the fans want, as it's the only Tales on the PSP that have outdone the leading DS Tales. The rest have sold similar amounts.

As for Marvelous, I don't see what they have to do with Tales. Their games are niche, and don't sell very much on any console.

bump for people who probably want to make predictions

Why don't you make like a tree and get out of here?
