It's the very presence of sephiroth that makes him a far more better villan then kefka will ever be, as i played VI recently, i didn't get the "oh noez, its that guy thats, really, really strong and evil! run!" the clown was just an irritating nut-case if that, though it matched the game in its own right so it fit.

when ever you hear the name "Sephiroth" in anything almost everyone already goes "omfg" for the bad or for the good, you know hell is gonna come in the form of the one winged angel.

basiclly speaking, sephiroth has that vibe about him that kefka lacks.

Only reason is because of his looks.

My rankings of FF villains would roughly go line this.

1) Kefka
2) Lucavi Demons
3)Golbaz/Zemus
4) Exdeath
5) Xade
6) Dark King
7) Sephiroth
8) Chaos.

Oh come on Vayne should be on there somewhere, he exists

Vayne wasn't even a bad guy. Dr Cid was the one with a sick mind in FFXII he was so effed up he used

FFXII didn't have a straight villian actually everyone was fighting for some reason even Venat wanted to stop the "Undying" from ruling over the mortals.

i think the "Undying" were the villians , but you never face them just vayne when he was possessed with Venat.

bad thing about FFXII , is most of the storyline is not actually IN the game but is a backstory in the " avalice alliance " thats why most people hated the game.

Two of my favorite villains but I'm going with Sephiroth. He seemed like he actually had a reason to be crazy.

Fuck reasons. A villain has to be evil from the root. Kefka sure as hell is.

you do know that Kefka is evil because of the side-effects of the Magitek Infusion Process (or whatever the hell it's called)

LOL!

Kefka had wings long before Sephiroth did.

Kefka became a god long before... oh damn, nevermind, Sephiroth never did.

Kefka destroyed the world long before... oh damn again... nevermind.

Kefka committed mass genocide long before... oh damn, are you serious, again?... nevermind.

Kefka killed his former leader with style and grace.

Sephiroth/Jenova well... yeah... as I said before, did it like a bitch.

Sephiroth casts meteor, takes forever, only destroys Midgar.

Kefka destroys the world, then if he wants he cats the Light of Judgement, which does damage just like Meteor did, but doesn't take forever.

Want me to keep going?

Oh yeah, I forgot my best point.

Kefka was bad ass the entire game, from start to finish.

Sephiroth was sitting around, encased in Mako, doing nothing.

Kefka.

He is insane, pure evil and have no idea what he is doing.
He destroye the world and make the chaos.
He isn't dream of a perfect world and don't care about it.
He only want to create a new world inside your head.

He was so great.

The best villain ever.

really?...I thought Exdeath was pretty lame and generic..hes way too high on ur list

hes a tree.....

thats badass.

Offtopic , i seriously thought Square wanted to do something like Mother / Earth bound were the final boss is something you wont expect to be "Evil"

That and... most Final Fantasy Villians are generic.

Despite being a step back story wise from 4 and 6.  The story of 5 is actually good when you ignore the fact it was sandwhiched between the far superior 4 and 6.

Exdeath starts off pretty generic... but then you find out he's a tree who withing has the sealed souls of a lot of nasty monsters to the point of where he became an evil self aware monster.

Angry at the world for reasons that well... he should be angry about.

He was the first Final Fantasy villian with a point... the first one to actually be wronged and have a reason for wanting to destroy everything other then just being an evil bastard.

So basically he has the looks but not the personality.

Actions speak louder than words my man. And sephy did nothing compared to Kefka.
