disolitude said: Sadly I already played and beat it at freinds place...6 hour long campaign that is exactly the same as MW gameplay wise and has zero replayability.
With that said, I think i will pick it up still...MP is going to be great. But then again, left 4 dead 2 is almost out too...and that demo they have of the game rocks hard too.
Hmm...maybe not day 1 purchase here. |
I disagree.
The SP campaign in MW had a lot of replayability. It was the first game I fully completed twice in a row. And I had fun both times.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. game is way too scripted to offer any sort of replay. COD4 had the shock value of being gritty so it cuold have been played again simply to experience the grittiness but the whole game always had 1 way to tackle an enemy and no branching paths. "Pick up the rocket launcher! Pick it up...Pick it up to go on"...while your army stands there and waits. Thats jsut dumb. The very first level in MW2 will have your team saying "Shoot the grenade at the enemy! Shott grenade at the enemy" over and ovr...and as soon as you do the path is cleared for you. The whole game is like that. You have to do exactly as the game tells you. I don't know anyone that will want to replay that civilian slaughter level more than once... I don't want to spoil that for anyone but all I can say, what a waste.
Also to Barozi...I played MW2 on hard and it took about 6 hours. This is because the game doesn't let you use terain or tactics in combat. You are either quick on the trigger or youre dead...
And speaking of quick on the trigger...WTF did they do with auto aim in this game. Every time you push LT to zoom in it automatically aims at the enemy that is in sights. A lot of the game felt like a rail shooter to me.
The only aspect of this game that I find amazing is the story and production. Everything else is atleast a generation behind in FPS gameplay.
