This game does not have:

~ Any type of splitscreen.

~ The Killcam.

~ Voice communication. WiiSpeak will not be supported.

~ Downloadable content. No possibility at all for any extra content.

~ The Variety Map Pack. Those four extra maps will not be included on the disc. The Wii version will ONLY contain the original 16.

~ 12-18 players. The Wii version will have a 10 player max.

~ Ground War. Because of the nerfed player count, Ground War has been completely omitted.

And people wonder why third party games don't sell as well on Nintendo consoles.

Oh well, I might still get this one at some point.  It is not really a priority though.  I didn't like the time I spent with CoD: WaW and if this feels similar, I probably won't like it either.

I might buy this.

One thing I don't like... seems to have a run button... there is just no reason for run buttons on consoles, PCs it makes sense as many will play with keyboard which doesn't have an analogue stick, but it's a waste of a button on a controller.

Since noone replied to this yet, I'll have a go at it.

In COD4, the run is actually a sprint during which you can't shoot. It's used for dashing somewhere quickly, and can only be used in short bursts. If it was mapped to pressing an analog all the way in one direction, that would be annoying, as it would switch between sprinting and regular movement too easily. On x360/ps3 sprinting is done by clicking down on the left analog stick but since the nunchuk analog is not clickable, the most logical thing is to assign it to a button.

That wasn't my point... I still wouldn't want it if I were playing the HD version.

Mymain reason for "might buy this" is that there really aren't many nice, funny FPS releasing (certainly not on the Wii) so I am getting this as a "it'll have to do" I prefer more arcadey shooters.... ie at least an attempt to make the controls simple. (but still customisable)

An FPS in my eyes needs:
- Control stick to move
- Control stick/IR pointer to aim
- Shooting trigger
- reload
- action button (jump/open door... stuff like that)
- zoom feature
- possible an "alt" button for extra features of weapons, or a grenade throwing button/motion control
- switch weapons... I don't mind if this is done using button codes (like hold A+B to go on a weapon, or something)

That's it for buttons.

For features I want things like paintball mode, the ability to hold lots of weapons (however unrealistic it is) cool stuff like zero gravity features.

Lol.. well you weren't very clear with your first post. There's always that rumoured Goldeneye 2010 game. Maybe that will have what you're looking for.

On-topic:

GoNintendo reports that the game has already been hacked.

http://gonintendo.com/viewstory.php?id=103467

Eh, i'm not too worried. I never ran into too many hackers in The Conduit, and the ones i did, were generally more interested in screwing around than in breaking the game (like in ASE Capture the Flag sort of thing, the hacker would just sit around and kill people with invincibility, instead of going and constantly grabbing the ASE)

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

mines just been delivered to work, gotta sit and look at it all day. Cant wait to get online tonight and give it a crack.

Been playing the single player for a few hours now and I'm quite impressed. Now I just need to get my wi-fi sorted out so I can jump online for a few friendly kills.

The only thing holding me back is they have the balls to ask full price for this game, I would get it at $70 australian not $100 which what they were asking at my local EB and Game store.

That and the fact it was never advertised or hyped is really going to hurt sales. Im not expecting too much from this title and hopefully neither is anyone else.

yay it's finally out
