Forums - Sales - Is there something wrong with the Tekken 6 numbers?

Tons of people have no idea the game is even on 360. It's a well known fact that the arcade version is based on PS3 hardware, and graphically looks better than the console ports. The practice mode is missing options that were available in the past. Everyone's wearing the same exact default costumes they had in Tekken 5 except Jin, and 2P Anna. The game was released in arcades back in November 2007.

The 360 version has incorrect command typing for certain moves with certain characters. Online modes lag partly due to cross-content matching. The fighting, in general, is slower than previous Tekkens. Scenario mode is lacking local 2P co-operation, but, will have 2p online co-of AFTER a patch is released in december.

Customizations are too expensive, and scenario mode forces people to play though it because of it's high pay out.. It's a bad thing if you don't like the mode. The enemies in Scenario mode are only shoulder height, larger enemies have muddy textures. Game extras are unlocked too easily/quickly.

Those are all the problems I can think of... If you don't truly like Tekken, you can skip this.. I'm not selling MY copy, though.... When does Tekken 7 come out?...  That's probably why people aren't buying the game...  I purposely left some stuff out, because that's all I feel like noting..  But, Tekken 6 is a good game with a crappy package... It's not even deservant of an 8.0.  Fighting portion of the game is great... everything else... NO.... well, except menus and music, and the stages too, but, everything else... not so good.  I hope they fix things for Tekken 7

An dbtw, i dont really knw why people expected the preorders to be 100 percent accurate. I think the preorders gives us an idea how first week sales will be for the game will perform. Its more of a within a range rather than a final figure. I think the margin of error will range up to 30 percent, but still at least it gives us an estimation beforehand, so we'd knw which games will actually perform

but the rest of the preorder numbers in the preview performed up to sales expectations. the only anomaly is tekken.

You guys both have great avatars. Slam Dunk rocks.

I'm quite sure the preorder numbers are retail preorders.

They're essentially retail expectations. Or, as Majin said, the first shipment (I think).

4.5 million people don't have Modern Warfare 2 preordered. Most people just walk to the store to buy it first day.

(could be wrong, but...)

Pre-order doesn't 100% mean people will purchase the games. It only means that they either purchased it or put down $5 or more on it. Tekken 6 will have legs until it reaches its LTD. It is a highly underrated game which lost popularity after Tekken 4's broken mechanics. Tekken 5 sold slowly as well.
