i think it shows 360 is doing much better than people say in europe. most of the year 360 was ahead or slightly behind ps3., whereas people behave like ps3 dominates europe.

also ps3 slim sales bump fell very fast on the chart. if it went further i wonder how much further they fell.

That still includes more areas than the Nintendo graph.

The one from Nintendo is UK+France+Germany+Spain+Italy+Benelux (or at least Netherlands if not all of Benelux)

When they say those countries, they actually mean 'regions'

For example France includes Belgium whereas Spain includes Portugal.

How does Nintendo know how many consoles Sony and Microsoft have shipped?

They don't.... those aren't shipped figures... they are sales combined from GfK/Chart-Track and such.... or possibly Nintendo uses it's own tracking service (which it will also do in America and Japan but they usually rely on NPD/Media Create when releasing sales figures)
