My top 3

  1. The Wii
  2. $60 games
  3. Expensive accesories

I like this list.

You know $60 games is more or less the same price games cost back for the NES adjusted for inflation. I swear people need to give that a rest. Back in 1985, when the NES came out, was $200 and adjusted for inflation today that would be about $400. Games, if I remember correctly, were $40 then, and now that would be about $80 AND we get SOOOOOO much more game these days. So suck it up and dish out the $60.

I'm only 18.

Excessive DLC, a "patch it later" mentality, and shitty fucking hardware.

This and Gimmicky motion controls. When they are utilized they are fuckin awesome but as of now I've only seen a few that utulize them well enough to make good games great.

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.

Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi

You were talking about NES prices.

1) All the DLC that is overpriced or already included on the disc, or stuff that should've been on the disc at release but left for later in order to avoid delays.

2) A strong focus on multiplayer over single player. It's damn near impossible to revisit games that are multiplayer oriented 5-10 years later, but a single player epic is timeless. As such, there's a lot of games out there with shit for single player campaigns.

3) Do greatest hits games really have to be $30 instead of $20?

4) Consumers telling hardware manufacturers it's okay to overcharge for features and peripherals (you'll never see an all-inclusive system like the PS3 again at this rate).

I don't want to be mean, but 'I don't have money for games' is not really an excuse.  Gaming is a hobby, not a lifestyle or a right.  Just because we're use to playing games doesn't mean we can complain when we don't get our own way (aka the game we want is expensive).  And frankly, I've been using my own money to buy all my own games since I was pretty much I was in High School.  That means ever since the GameCube and PS2 came out (which I bought both with my own money that I earned myself), I bought every game I own with my own money.

In some ways, I completely agree.  Games shouldn't be going up in price.  But using the excuse 'I have no money for games' is just not a good excuse.

Six upcoming games you should look into:

No, I'm not using it as an excuse. I just think prices are absurd.
