Actually 3D mario was never as popular as 2D mario, and its highest sales was in Mario 64, although Galaxy did sell more than sunshine, and as for Tekken outselling Mario, unlikely, except maybe some of the party Marios, some which only sold around a million, judging by sales of Tekken series, not to mention the PS3's install base

You mean people who want to play games? You betcha.

Makes sense, so people who buy the movie Up on Blu-ray are the same buyers and market that buys A Nightmare on Elm Street on DVD, yes? You get the point, it's different buyers within the gaming industry, meaning sales will vary from one device to another.


ith that logic the people who buy the wii arent in the same market as the ps3 or 360 so therefore SONY and MS are correct when they don't include it in their numbers....

Aren't we talking Japan only here? You seem to think so.

SM 64 DS sold 1.17 Million

SMG sold 1.06 Million

The 3D mario series is in decline, we have the numbers here on VGC.

And as for my prediction. I mean every Mario game combined. i thought it would be fun to do an amazingly rubbish prediction, like a certain other member.

A handheld IS NOT a HOME console. The sales therefore will be different between the handheld and the HOME console. What don't you understand?


The fact the the PSP is a console and avinash says playstation family. Even without the PSP the Wii wont even sell 200 million let alone 290+ million.
