One of the deepest and most balanced multiplayer games of all time plus the most creative use of physics puzzles of all time (and the funniest) plus an excellently executed game on a 2 year old engine PLUS two old games sound like a 10 to me.   The only excuse for taking any points of Ep2 is the graphics, and thats a stupid reason to remove points from any game.  Especially from a game that's so close to artistic perfection.  Gaming will never be taken seriously as an art form when we value polygon count over artistic excellence.

10/10 is a travesty.  Considering Lair got a 10/10 R&C should get a 20/10 at the very least.  Or maybe a .5/10 and Playmagazine's editor in chief could be Bizarro Superman.

See what I mean. when scores of 10/10 are given out to easily it causes score paradoxes. so according to playmagizne lair is as good as orange box?

I can count the number of games that should get 10/10 on my hands.

You can't really even score video game accurately, because for a platformer fan, Orange Box would suck, for a shooter nut, Mario Galaxy would suck. Games can't really be scored like that when there is so much that is subjective. It's like rating the Mona Lisa a 10 out of 10 for art. That would mean it is equal to any other painting that gets a 10 out of 10, when they are both totally different and virtually incomparable.

Compare Salvador Dali to Leonardo DaVinci, or even Pablo Picasso, and you'll get all kinds of awesomeness, but I dare you to give them all ratings. You just couldn't do that.

Well, unless the game sucks super hard. Then they should put a warning in the magazine entitled "Attention! This game sucks!"

I agree with the posters in believing that too many 10/10's are being thrown around these days.

After a price cut ps3 sales drop into the 20k range O_O
