I can see this game averaging 8.5+, a coup for a point and click adventure game.

Europeans don't tend to spam this forum with pointless threads like a certain american... Besides, we have talked enough about Corruption when it was released in the america. Us europeans just want to play this game. Enough talk. |
ouch...that stings to the core.
hmmm ... Might to pick this up. Price is right, but I already have a big backlog.
OK, I give. I was wrong. If GameSpot gives a Nintendo game an 8.5 and IGN says it is amazing, it must be good. All of you are right. I will still not buy the game as I have serious problems with the cover, name, characters, and graphics (the only cell shade game I like is Zelda). However, I will rent the game and even play it as a 2 player game. I hope it does well as I would like a more mature version of this game.
currently playing: Desktop Tower Defense (PC), Puzzle Quest (DS), Trauma Center New Blood (Wii), Guitar Hero III (Wii), Ghost Squad (Wii), Actraiser (SNES), Donkey Kong County (SNES), The Legend of Zelda (NES), Kirby's Adventure (NES)
will play next: Paper Mario (N64), Golden Axe II (Sega), NiGHTS (Wii)

If your decision was affected by the cover and the name... =
I have never found a more correct time to say 'never judge a book by its cover', in fact to top this I would probably have to go to a book forum =P

originally i liked the name zack and wiki, but that was before i knew it's a puzzle game. i also think i'd rather have the characters to be less like zack and wiki, the title not containing words like "treasure island". "mature" probably isn't the right word but by and large i agree with your points, except for graphics, which i don't care about, especially in a puzzle game.
the Wii is an epidemic.
Dear everybody saying this is the first real big third party game for the Wii,
Red Steel.
Raving Rabbids.
Neither were ports. They were both built from the ground up for the Wii remote. They both broke a million in sales.
So what if they both had some wonky control issues? They both did well enough to get sequels, and one's coming out soon. Maybe Zak & Wiki will do better critically, but that does not discount those 2 games. That is all I have to say.
