I just saw this as well, it is a pretty cool announcement, and it kind of came out of no where. Sounds pretty fun, using motion controls and online multiplayer. The Excite franchise is getting a lot of releases this generation.

Wait, what?

Twestern No it is a new game for WiiWare, but keeping the retro theme, and similar art style of the old game, and yes the original Excite Bike is already on the VC.
