Yeah i probably will get it soon.
Problem is... When i got Uncharted, i also got Valkyria Chronicles at the same time. I beat Uncharted a couple of times, then went straight onto VC... And never got back to it.
Will do now though

Haven't decided yet if I want to go through all of that again to Platinum this one. I'll definitely beat the game multiple times, just not necessarily on the super high difficulties. My question to all of the people who have gotten the Platinum on U2 would be whether or not you cheated and used the glitch that allows you to use your tweaks on difficulties which you have yet to beat. |
I'd say Uncharted 2 is significantly easier. The main reasons are the stealth/improved melee combat, and the fact that guns hold more ammo along with there being a lot more spread around the levels. This also artificially made the first more difficult since there were times that you needed to melee in order to get double ammo. This mechanic is absent in 2, but you will never need it unless you had wanted something specific RPG, Desert Eagle, etc. You are now able to get bonus guns/grenades if you use stealth to kill someone, but it seems random whether you get something extra.
There are also some smaller things. For example, in Uncharted 1 there were enemies with a Wes-44 who could one shot you if you even peak out of cover. Also the Sniper/DE enemies (with the laser sights) seem to take much longer to aim. In three playthroughs I never once died to them in Uncharted 2. Overall it just seemed to make for fewer cheap deaths. I'm not completely sure about this, but it seemed like grenades had a smaller amount of splash damage. I could usually just step away and then hop back into cover (although by the end I despised the ear ringing sound effect, really wish you could turn it off).
Anyways, to answer your question, I played through crushing without any tweaks. Some of the areas where I expected the most deaths were actually easier on crushing (since I had already done them twice at that point). The only part where I got very frustrated was the train. I'd just say to take it slow and stay off the roofs.
Got mine lat week. Was a sublime cinch.
Best game ever!

TOP 12: Deus Ex, Shadow Man, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturn, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, Metroid Prime, Zelda (series), Uncharted (series), FF Tactics, Persona (series), Demons Souls, Vagrant Story.
MOST WANTED: Deus Ex: Human Revolution, The Last Guardian, ICO/Shadow OTC HD
Yeah, grenades have tiny tiny splash damage, you can ignore them about half the time
I didn't think that the train was that hard, chapter 23 is going to get really hard, 22 was tricky
Just got the platinum.
Hardest chapters on crushing (imo):
4, 25 (first fight in Shambala), 26 (final boss)
And perhaps the train boss.
Overall a tad easier than UC1. Good thing they pretty much eliminated the around the corner shooting trick from the 1st.
Looking forward to: FF Versus XIII / LBP2 / The Last Guardian / Yakuza 4 / ICO Collection
36 hours and 3 playthroughs I finally got the platnium. I'm missing one treasure in broken paradise though.
Only took me 25 or so hours... all of it was fun though!
