i respect peoples opinion's that they prefer the wii, but i prefer the 360 or the PS3. They have all the franchises i want to play,

call of duty/modern warfare
final fantasy (main series)
bioshock
resident evil (main series)
street fighter (main series)
prince of persia
Devil May Cry
Unreal Tournament
Silent Hill (main series)
assasins creed
ninja gaiden
star ocean
tales (main series + HD)
splinter cell
bionic commando (revival)
Grand Theft Auto
King of Fighters


Then you get exlusives for every each HD console such as

Halo
Fable
Gears of War
Lost Odyssey
Braid
God of War
Gran Turismo
uncharted
killzone


The wii has Metroid, which was the reason i bought the console, but its no secret it has been lacking AAA quality out of Mario games. Though there are a few gems besides all the shovelware.

The point of it is about expressing what makes games good according to your own personal standards. Ideally we would all be learning about each other's tastes and perhaps widening our perspectives.

IMHO the 360 has the best library. Definatly not for 2009 but overall it wins by a mile. And 2010 is only going to add to it. 360 has the strongest 2010 lineup of all 3 consoles.

I am just stating a fact, even if it is absolutely useless.

@psrock: Yes, I am sure. Some website once had a comparison of Metacritic scores between 6th and 7th gen consoles and the PS2 and Wii had the lowest averages of their generation. Obviously because they attracted the most shovelware due to their popularity. If you consider that many crappy games aren't even reviewed at all, it would even get worse for those consoles.

You missed out one thing though

The PS2 had 63 games with over 90 aveg, which was more than the xbox and Cube put togheter. I think they made up beautifully for those shovelwares.

Moving on.
