I don't think my mind will change. For every Wii game I want to try but haven't gotten aroud to renting, there are 5 PS3 games in the same boat.

I'm not asking you for the purpose of proving a point, it's more out of curiosity: I likewise think that your min probably wouldn't change, I'm just curious. Have you considered that those may not be the Wii games best-suited to your tastes, or do they form the best of the system in your eyes?

Obviously. Or else I wouldn't have bought them :P

Personally, lots with the X360 (a friend is a huge Xbox fan), less with the Wii.

You're welcome. I can say that the 360 would be closer to the PS3 than the Wii due to the great shared library between the two (plus some good exclusives of course), but I don't really have any first hand experience.

This is ludicrous. You're telling me that five fantastic games and five bad games, when compared to four fantastic games, means that the second collection is superior?

The console that has the best games is the one that has the best games. The individual best games. I'm not buying a whole library when I purchase a console, I am buying specific games.

Bad games bring the whole library's quality down as a whole.

I gave you average quality, which gives you the best games on average. Which PS3 wins.

If we count the top rated games from each genre, i am also pretty sure the PS3 beats out the other 2 consoles overall if you include both Exclusives and Multiplats.

That doesn't make sense. It is "which console has the best games", not "which console has the best mean average quality in its library". The question asks: when you take the best of the best and compare the experiences, which console comes out on top?

Metacritic is worse than worthless in this thread, it actively goes against the spirit of it: this thread exists as an acknowledgment of personal standards of quality. By citing Metacritic you are surrendering personal standards altogether.

You have not actually given an answer yet.

This is one of those Generation when it's really close.

@Monti

your point was more valid in 2007 and maybe 2008, The PS3 and 360 shares 90% of the games now and the PS3 has clearly increased their exclusives games. And yes, I know it's your opinion.
