PS3!

Flame war begin!

Which games do you like best on the system? What elevates it above the others according to your set of standards?

MGS4, Uncharted 2, Valkyria Chronicles and LittleBigPlanet are as good as the best Wii exclusives and the HD multiplats push it far infront. Arkham Asylum, GTA IV, Dead Space, Fallout 3, Bioshock, The Orange Box etc.

What Wii exclusives are you comparing those games to?

first for me would be PS3:

Disgaea 3
inFamous
Demon's Souls
Valkyria Chronicles
Burnout Paradise [Multiplat w/360]

I would say these are the 5 games I've enjoyed the most on the console. Then some honorable mentions would be:

Metal Gear Solid 4
Resident Evil 5 [Multiplat w/360]
Killzone 2
Tekken 5DR: Online

Second for me... it's close but I'll give the nod to the DS:

Phoenix Wright - Ace Attorney
Phoenix Wright - Ace Attorney: Justice for All
Phoenix Wright - Ace Attorney: Trials and Tribulations
Appollo Justice - Ace Attorney
Pokemon Diamond

I would give the main 5 spots to these. I originally bought my DS for pokemon, after that i started collecting dust. Tried a ton of games like Legend of Zelda, Time Hollow, The World Ends With You, but just didn't enjoy them. Also, I found the DS somewhat uncomfortable to play on. I won't bother giving honorable mentions simply because... well I don't really have any... Expect perhaps Brain Age2 and Final Fantasy IV.

Third I will say PSP

Tekken DR
Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness
Burnout Legends

I've played quite a few other games like Crisis Core, Monster Hunter and Phantasy Star Portable, but I guess I just never really enjoyed those titles. Very few games shine to me on the PSP. Right now the only two games I can even think of that I want to buy for it are Disgaea 2 and Crimson Gem Saga. Right now my PSP is used to play downloaded PS1 games from the PS Store... when I had it anyway... I've lent it out to a friend for the past 2 months...

The Xbox 360 is an incredible library, but it had a year head start, but I believe as of late Sony has really distance itself by bringing out just amazing game one after another. Unlike last Gen when the PS2 relied mostly on third party, the PS3 first party offering is just incredible.

PS3 but close.

DGC, refer to point 4.

I understand this topic may not be particularly fair to single-console owners, but have you had any experience at all with the Wii or 360?

I choose PS3.

It has a lack of shovelware, and on ratings average it has(or at least had) the highest quality rating out of all 3.

(there is a link somewhere where someone did research on it, PS3 won)

This is against the spirit of the topic in many, many ways. "Which system has the best games" does not mean "which system doesn't have the worst games," nor does it mean "which system's library when taken as a mean average on Metacritic comes out with the highest rating".

For me having the worst games puts a big dent in the consoles library.

And i think a console having a better average of quality, does indeed mean those games are better. And because we usually use the review system to judge if a game is good or "AAA" status, i think it's fair to use average quality as an indicator of who has the best games.

IMO, having the best quality library as a whole means that console has the best games.

One drawback for this though, it doesn't take into account the games from previous gen's.

no only Wii khuutra & look at my collection

thats what I think of the wii's library

its not for me, but in 2010 it will be because of the JRPG's & Mario's & zelda

This is ludicrous. You're telling me that five fantastic games and five bad games, when compared to four fantastic games, means that the second collection is superior?

The console that has the best games is the one that has the best games. The individual best games. I'm not buying a whole library when I purchase a console, I am buying specific games.
