Forums - Sony - Will Bioware's big announcement today be Mass Effect 2 coming to the PS3?

The only real thing I care about is a release date announcement for Star Wars: The Old Republic. But I doubt that'll be announced till next year at the earliest.

Probably not. Western themed RPG's sell like ass on the PS3. (no offense to the system, JRPG's are stagnant on the Xbox)

Does this mean there's no Home space?

^^ It's still news. The game was originally going to be delayed for sometime on PS3. So this is great for that fan base.

Agreed, its nice to see same day mulitplatform releases.  If it going to be multi-plat, release them the same day.   Bioware +1, for doing this

Sometimes an example or two would strengthen an argument.

Thanks for the input, Jeff.

I hope not... Would be a serious waste of hype.

LOL it is amazing how PS3 fanboys said Mass Effect is better on PC anyway, yet would purchase part 2 for the PS3 if it did happen. Contradictions are amazing, especially when one gets caught.

It is rather funny, particularly because ALL of the fanbases do it. What about all the Xbox supporters that claimed that MGS4 was just a "movie", but then make threads like "ZOMG MGS: Rising is an Xbox 360 exclusive!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Yeah, even though that was inaccurate to begin with, why did they "suddenly" care for the franchise? Why were there SOOOOOOOO many threads and talks from the Xbox community about MGS4?

Exactly: contradictions and hypocrisy = all the fanbases are guilty of it!

Personally, I've rarely never seen a Xbox 360 fanboy who didn't want MGS4. Some even bought PS3's for it in 2008 or made rumors that it was coming to the 360. I've seen the annoying ones that said they didn't want the game, but they those were so few compared to the majority I've seen and this is spanning Gamespot, Gametrailers, VGChartz, 1up.com, NG4 and more. PS3 fanboys pretty much overrun those parts. I've seen more PS3 fanboys on multiple sites bash Mass Effect's graphics and say they would get the game on PC when the couch and TV vantage point seems to be getting increasingly popular as the days go by. This is where it comes to now, when I hear its coming to the PS3 in rumors, they all retract their PC oaths and suddenly visualize getting it for a console. This is exactly what I am talking about.

All fanbases are guilty of contradictions, but none garner the abundance of the shame than PS3 fanboys. Theres a greater number of them which gives them multiples of the chances to be blamed when the time comes. Wii and 360 owners are fewer, but have their annoying people.

I don't think 'PS3 fanboys' as people keep calling them are any more guilty than 360 fans.  Especially if you start looking back about 2-3 years ago, when the Wii and PS3 just came out.  The 360 fans were the ones pointing fingers at both consoles and stating their console was superior.  Now its just a different time when the PS3 has gained momentum and its popular to back it.

The bigger problem is, this gen has turned more into the 'HD' fans vs the 'Nintendo' fans.  I don't even like to make it about that, as many people who own a Wii or DS also own a 360 or PS3, but that's how many people are treating it.  Often times whenever there's a new release of a Wii or DS game, there's inevitably a horde of 'HD' fans who descent on any thread or discussion site of that game like a plague feeling its their duty to call the game 'kiddy' and 'for kids' and 'sucks cuz its on the Wii'.  Even if its something along the lines of Muramasa: The Demon Blade, Metroid Prime Trilogy or heck, games they have on their own 'HD' systems like LEGO Batman.  This is the real 'fanboy' and they show up every time there's discussion about a Wii game.  That transcends any petty squabbles people may have about FFXIII being exclusive or Uncharted 2 not being on the 360.

And a large part of why this is so stupid is because you know if those games were on the 'HD' systems, no one would give them a second look.  Muramasa: The Demon Blade is being called kiddy by a TON of people because its on the Wii, yet you know if it was on PS3, it would be deemed a 'hot niche game along the same vein of Disgaea 3'.  The same people who whine and moan about the Wii being kiddy, and many who whine and moan about 'console exclusivity, are the same people who only buy games based on console exclusivity and what reviewers tell them to.
